29th Dec 1869. Lord HAMMOND was entertained at luncheon by the officials of the Hull
Trinity House. At this gathering the ex-Mayor, Ald. SEATON, presented to E.
NORTHARD, a Trinity House boy, the Royal Humane Societies medal.

14th Sept 1873 Edward Northard Trinity House lad gallantly rescued a boy from drowning in Albert Dock and subsequently received several awards for bravery.

14th Sept 1874. EDWARD NORTHARD, Trinity House lad, gallantly rescued a boy from
drowning in the Albert Dock. He subsequently received several public awards
for his bravery.

 

******NB I have not seen the originals of these 3 entries which are reported as seen, but the dates suggest more than 1 rescue? I expect the 1873 & 1874 events to be one and the same. If anyone has more precise information I should be pleased to hear from you.
